Allegra Romita

Allegra has been dancing her whole life. She had been practicing yoga for a while but did not fall in love until she found heated power vinyasa. She did her 200 hour teacher training with Sid McNairy of SidYoga in Baltimore, MD in 2008. Since then she has taught at the University of Michigan and Towson University as well as spaces in Baltimore and New York.  As a Brooklyn-based dance artist and yoga teacher, Allegra teaches at both the Brooklyn and Union Square Prana locations and a few New York Sports Clubs locations. Her passion for anatomy and kinesiology led her to the Breathing Project and she had been continuing her yoga education with Amy Matthews’ Embodied Anatomy courses. Yoga has brought her peace and a space for centering. After suffering a major back injury, her practice led her to understand the power of positive thought and self-healing. Allegra hopes to guide her students, through anatomical awareness and freedom of thought, to a place of alignment in body and mind.
