Having played competitive sports her entire life, Jackie initially came to yoga seeking the physical and mental benefits of the practice, but also to manage the residual effects of a previous cardio-thoracic surgery. She has come to find that yoga is the key to living a life that is balanced, robust, peaceful and free. In her classes, you will sweat, play, and jam to a variety of music, but will also be asked to tune in to your inner teacher, cultivate your listening skills, manipulate the breath to sharpen your meditative mind, and respect the balance between effort and surrender in order to deepen your physical practice. Jackie loves moving in her body and is inspired daily by the transformative power of her personal practice – this is the space from which she teaches.
Before teaching yoga, Jackie was an investment banking analyst on Wall Street. She studied under Kay Kay Clivio and Yogi Charu at Pure Yoga NYC for her 200-hour base teacher training. She later completed a 100-hour advanced training with Miles Borrero and Derek Cook as well as a 100-hour mentorship with Miles Borrero also at Pure. In addition to teaching hot power at PPY, Jackie teaches vinyasa yoga on a private client basis and is a holistic health coach, having received her certification from the Integrative Institute of Nutrition. She graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and minors in both Math and Business.
