Emma Bowen

Emma Bowen is a New York City-based yoga teacher, RYT 200. A dedicated practitioner of Ashtanga Yoga, Emma began her studies with Alana Kessler at Sangha Yoga Shala, and now practices under the tutelage of Guy Donahaye at Ashtanga Yoga Shala. In addition to her daily yoga practice, she has taken classes and workshops with Guy Donahaye, R. Sharath Jois, Saraswathi Jois, Kino MacGregor, and Tim Feldmann. In Spring 2015, Emma completed Yoga Vida’s 200-Hour Vinyasa Teacher Training Program in New York City.
Emma additionally holds a Master of Arts Degree from Parsons School of Design, where she has taught since 2008. Her belief in the necessary merging of aesthetics and ethics, enriched by her time at Parsons, led her to launch an ethical intimate apparel line, Najla, in 2014.
Emma believes firmly in the power of yoga to help guide the practitioner towards their most authentic self.
