Our 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified training is a varied and comprehensive program led by a core group of Prana teachers. As a participant in the Prana Power Yoga training, you will leave with all the tools you need to begin teaching when the program is complete. You will study the alignment, benefits, modifications, verbal cues, and adjustments for each pose in the Prana flow. You will be provided with a strong anatomy curriculum and also spend a large portion of the training practice teaching and giving & receiving feedback. Beyond that, you will cover a wide variety of topics to expand your knowledge and understanding of yoga, including assisting, pranayama, sanskrit, and much more.

What I love about yoga is that it works – no exceptions. All you have to do is show up and breathe, then sit back and watch your life transform. I fell in love with yoga right away, and looking back I can see how fast my life began to shift – big shifts for the world to see and internal shifts that really have been much bigger.
I completed teacher training through Prana Power Yoga and began teaching just four days later. In the years that followed I attended many further trainings and workshops and feel blessed to learn from so many amazing teachers. I have trained in assisting with Sue Jones & Ray Mucci, anatomy with Ellen Heed, Yin Yoga with Josh Summers, and kids yoga with Lisa Flynn. I am also a level 1 Reiki practitioner under Jene’ Rossi. I continue to stay committed to learning and growing as a yoga teacher and student.
I aspire to teach the kind of class that I love to take: balanced, challenging, fun, and fluid, with a whole lot of space to find your own way. Creating strong flows is one of my absolute favorite parts of teaching yoga. I also love teaching to music and thoroughly enjoy creating playlists that I hope enhance the students’ experience without distracting from breath.
Mostly, I strive to take this journey one step a time, soaking up as much as I can. Bob Dylan said, “we have never arrived, we are in a constant state of becoming.” Yoga teaches me to live slow and never stop becoming.
Right after trying a few different yoga classes I became hooked! It just hit home with me. I love the heat, sweat and flow of vinyasa yoga; it is truly a practice that builds a strong and healthy body while calming the mind and encouraging awareness. Yoga has challenged me both physically and mentally. After beginning my practice I began to notice differences not only in my physical body but also in my life off of my yoga mat. I felt stronger and calmer – I became more present, gained the ability to let go and became extremely aware of my body. I knew I wanted to share this incredible practice with others.
I am a graduate of Prana Power Yoga’s teacher training program and am also certified in assisting/adjusting. I continue the study of yoga through a variety of teachers, workshops and trainings. My classes focus on breath and flow while maintaining proper alignment.
I came to yoga at 19-years-old. At the time I was living in DC, post -September 11th, with a compromised sense of safety and well-being. I was exhausted, suffering from post-traumatic stress, and remember deciding that I needed a way to “work out” without going to the gym because I was just too tired. I desperately needed the calm and the stillness of the practice, but could barely sit through savasana. Over time, this “exercise” of strength, surrender, and turning inward continued to transform my life, my relationships with others, and my relationship with myself. I completed both my assistant training and my 200-hr teacher training at Prana, and have been teaching since 2009. I have studied with other amazing mentors like Alex Amorosi, Jacqui Bonwell, and Josh Summers. My favorite role at Prana is as a faculty member of the Prana Power Yoga teacher trainings, because I get to witness the transformational process over and over again. Outside of Prana I integrate yoga, mindfulness, and meditation into my work as a clinical psychotherapist and provide both individual and group therapy to clients out of my private practice in Harvard Square.
Master Teacher Jenè Rossi is a certified, experienced, registered yoga instructor (ERYT) with the National Yoga Alliance and is a traditional Usui Reiki Master/Teacher. Jenè has been practicing yoga since 1998 and teaching since 2001. Her extensive yoga studies include completing teacher training with Baron Baptiste. Jenè has also had the priviledge to study with many other yoga experts, Beryl Bender Birch, Ana Forrest, Rolf Gates, Elizabeth Huntsman, Coeli Marsh, Shandor Remete, Gregor Singleton, Tom Myers and Rod Stryker. Jenè has studied Mediumship under Brenda Lawrence of the UK, Rita Berkowitz and John Holland of Boston. She also attended the Open Doors School of Energy Healing with Richard Lanza and Pat Iyer and has studied the ancient art of Shamanism.
Her style of teaching is playful and challenging and her class setting is safe and sacred. She encourages you to go to the edge and beyond, to take the journey within.
Jenè assisted the Open Doors Yoga Studio in developing its Power Yoga Teacher Training program which is certified through the National Yoga Alliance. She remains on the faculty of this well respected program and has been an instructor with Open Doors since its inception. Jenè is on staff with the Prana Power Yoga Teaching program as well.
In addition to her current role as a yoga instructor and teacher trainer, Jenè provides Reiki treatments and attunements throughout the greater Boston area. Her dharma is to be a conduit to ignite the light within all living beings. www.jenerossi.com
I found myself in a yoga class a few years ago in Southie. My friend Jennifer dragged me along since I had been complaining about not being able to run due to an injury. I had just eaten three slices of pizza but I thought, ok , it’s only some stretching and meditating. My first yogic lesson was learned that day, and I’ll happily pass it along to any student: don’t eat three slices of pizza and then go directly to a yoga class. Other than the digestive issues I encountered that afternoon, I found that I really liked the class and thought it was a good alternate to running. Jacqui was teaching this class and her amazing attitude made it easy to keep going back. Jacqui has been my teacher, friend and inspiration ever since. so… I was “yoga is a good workout” guy for quite some time. I didn’t mind oming and breathing and all that but I also didn’t feel like I needed to take it to heart. I built up my practice over that first year from once a week to almost daily. I began noticing little changes in myself. I was no longer getting that upset in traffic or similar situations, or if I did, it would pass rather quickly. hmm.. ok so maybe it’s the yoga? It was either the yoga, or the fact that i had fallen in love with avocados. Subtly, I found my attitude shifting. I’m a total klutz and am constantly falling, bumping into things and banging my head into stuff. I found myself laughing one day after banging my head into a stairwell and then dropping three grocery bags worth of food into the stairwell (including avocados!). Ok, definitely the yoga, and this was the case throughout my life: instead of becoming upset over trivial day to day life situations, unchangeable ones at that, I was light and I was laughing, even when applying ice to the egg on my head. So I find myself here and now, still practicing, making time for it no matter how cluttered my schedule gets. Yoga has changed my body, my mind and has cured me of chronic horrific low back pain that no doctor was able to diagnose. I still love avocados too, I just try to not eat them right before class.
Pursuing a degree in Psychology at Boston University, Emily begin practicing Pilates regularly. It wasn’t until after she graduated that she took her first yoga class. A yoga instructor subbed for a gym pilates class and Emily fell in love. She began a home practice and the following year, in 2008, found Prana Power Yoga. She began as a Studio Assistant, volunteering in exchange for yoga classes and felt at home – the heated practice took her love for yoga to a whole new level. In 2010, she completed the Prana Teacher Training. With a lifelong interest in pregnancy and birth, Emily went on to study prenatal yoga in 2011 and holds an 85-hour RPYT certification. She teaches a number of classes in the Boston Area, primarily prenatal, but power, vinyasa, restorative, and yoga nidra classes as well. Yoga has transformed Emily’s life physically, emotionally, and spiritually and she feels honored to work with students and help guide them towards those types of changes as well.
Emily enjoys challenging and nurturing her students, balancing an energetic flow with the opportunity to slow down and cultivate a mind-body connection. She is also a Reiki healer and trained Doula, supporting women in labor since 2012. Learn more about Emily at www.emilymasnoon.com.
It is absolutely amazing and inspiring to me how much my yoga practice helps me to honestly live life to it’s fullest. I first practiced yoga in college and was lucky enough to be open to what the practice offers. As stated in several yoga philosophy books small and subtle shifts in my life started happening as I continued to play with my practice. In 2007 I committed to Prana’s teacher training. Following the training I began teaching for Prana. I left my elementary classroom teaching job after 8 years of fulfillment and began my journey as a yoga instructor. I can’t decide what is more of a gift, the time to be with people as they practice and we all evolve, the daily opportunity to mindfully set intentions and bring myself back to my true sense of self or the unwavering trust and faith that I passionately believe in myself and my practice. Infinite gratitude I send not only to my husband chris and our sons, Sebastian and Peter, but also to each one of you that shows up and spends time getting to know yourself in order to better understand who you are, what you want and how best to support your purpose in life~as you understand it presently. see you on your mat!
